Chicken Soup with Egg Whites |
Its winter time now and having something hot helps us to keep the chills away. Tea and coffee are the obvious choices for hot beverages but they have their own negatives. Apart from the fact that having more of tea and coffee is not good for health, this is also true that you do not feel like having them at all points of time especially before or during the meals.

What can be a better choice than soups to this. Soups are healthy, tasty, quick and easy to make. You can have soup to satisfy your hunger between the meals or have them with your meals. And these are great for your kids too be they toddlers or teens. We all know that kids throw tantrums and want variety of tasty foods. And believe me, nothing is easy than preparing a variety of soups for them each day. It gives them the taste what they are looking for and therefore it is easier to feed them. It is healthy and also doesn't require too much of efforts.
So, this season I am going to write plenty about soups and my today's recipe is chicken soup with egg whites. This is derived from the traditional Chinese chicken sweet corn soup which is the favorite of many of us. The only difference is that it is made from all simple ingredients which we have at home and is a lot more healthier.
Chicken Soup with Egg Whites Recipe
The chicken soup recipe that I am providing below does not contain sweet corns. But believe me, it tastes equally good. I have omitted the sweet corns keeping in mind the health constraints of many people. Nowadays, diabetes is very common and to cater to that, I am providing this recipe so that even people who cannot consume sweet corns can take this soup which is equally tasty. Also the other people who do not have any health constraints can also take this soup just as a variety to the regular chicken sweet corn soup.
If you are fond of sweet corns, you can always add them to enhance the taste of this soup. I will also provide the recipe for chicken sweet corn soup separately.

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- Chicken : 100gm or 1 medium sized boneless piece
- Garlic : 4 cloves
- Salt to taste
- Eggs: 1
- Water: 2 cups
Method:
- Boil the chicken in water with the garlic and salt.
- When the chicken is cooked, remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Once the chicken has cooled, break the chicken pieces into small bristles.
- Put the chicken bristles along with the chicken stock in a pan and put to boil again. Remove the garlic cloves from it.
- Meanwhile, separate the egg white from the egg into a bowl and whisk it slightly.
- When the chicken stock comes to boil, lower the heat and add the egg white stirring continuously.
- When the egg white solidifies and you start seeing white strands of the egg white in the soup, stop stirring and switch off the heat.
- The soup is ready to serve.
