Ingredients :
Flour : 250 gm
Baking Powder : 1/2 tsp
Eggs : 4
Castor Sugar : 250gm
White Butter : 250gm
Red Colour : 1 tsp
Vanilla essence : 1 tsp
Topping : Whipped fresh cream
Method :
Flour : 250 gm

Method :
- Add baking powder to the flour and sieve 2 - 3 times and keep aside.
- Break all the eggs in a large bowl and beat till it is frothy
- Melt the butter and add to the eggs.
- Add sugar to the above mixture and beat it till it is creamy.
- Add the flour mix to the above mixture in small portions at a time and mix well so that no lumps are formed.
- When all the flour has been added to the mixture, add the red colour and vanilla essence and mix well.
- Grease and line two baking dish with butter paper.
- Pour the cake batter equally into the two tins and bake in a hot oven at 200c for 20 minutes or microwave on high for 10 minutes and then reduce the power to 60% and bake for 5 more minutes. When an inserted toothpick comes clean, the cake is done.
- Remove from oven and allow the cakes to cool.
- Take out the cakes from the baking dish.
- Pour the whipped cream on one cake to cover it up.
- Put the other cake on top of it and cover the entire cake with the whipped cream and refrigerate it.
